Abstract :
Nowdays,Use of Ichnofossil in study of sedimentary paleoenvironmental, was developed and these traces were transformedinto useful tools for interpreting sedimentary paieoenvironmental. During recent years, these traces were notified in Iran and were reported on some geological formation. This research, is the first report of traces fossils belong to Rhizocorallium Icnogenus Which interduce from Mozdoran formation. These traces were recognized based on special Morphological features which in U.tube shape on bedding sedimentary plane surface and interior. The size of these burrows and their diameters are 10 to 33 cm and 1 cm , respectively. Excessive Length of the tube, in dined or horizontal burrowing suggest that Rhizocorallium was a feeding burrow.
There are many Rhizocorallium traces in detrital- carbonate layers on the top part of Mozdoran formation, which express Cruziana ichnofacias existance in this part and reflects sublittoral zone. Therefore the from environment of its bearing unite was nearly calm conditions and offshore and it s energy was moderate to slow.
