Abstract :
The Study of Textural Variety and identification the origin of sediments in Baz-e-hour River, SW Mashhad Binaloud basin is located in the center of Khorasan -E- Razavi province. Study area has been located between Binaloud geological at the north, and Central Iran at the south, that influenced by tectonical and erosional causes. Commonly, the effective faults strike is from northwest to southeast. The morphology of study area due to effection of lithology and tectonic events is mostly flat and mounds. Based on this study, Baz-e-hour River consists a braided pattern with gravely bed at up stream and meander at downstream. Hence, sedimentoiogy studies show that basic factors such as sudden changes in gradient, presence of minor streams and seasonal flood events cause changes bed loads texture. Although, our study shows that two main factors such as hydraulic sorting and abrasion are important to decrease the grain size. However, based on sedimentolgy study we showed that in Baz-e-hour channel, sediments are mostly poor sorted, positively skewed and platykurtic.
