Abstract :

A palynological investigation of the Shemshak Formation in Kuh – e – Ozon. NE Jajarm identified nine dinoflagellate cyst and two acritarch species. According to their stratigraphical distribution ، there are two total range biozone : Nannoceratopsis spiculata zone and Valensiella ovulum zone. The other accompanied species are : Kalyptes diceras، Aldorfia dictyophora. Pareodinia ceratophora ، Gonyaulacysta jurassica subsp. Jurassica، Gonyaulacysta centriconnata، Systematophora sp. Micrhystridium fragile and Micrhystridium densispinum. The first biozone belongs to Toarcian and the second belongs to Aalenian – Early Bajocian age.
