Abstract :

Folding in Quaternary and Neogen deposition the north of the Birjand has made by blinde thrust. Resulting field evidence show fold is in the B group with low slop in the north limb(7°) and high slop(42°) in the south limb. Fault scarp andfault plane which it has been measured in Hjiabad show 270-280N trend for the main fault. Tension joint show N- NE trend for pressure stress. Axial surface, fault and joint all illustrate this trend.
Axial surface of the fold and fault plane, both, have the northern slop and show southern movement in material.
