Abstract :

Nowedays, geotourism is known as an active industry in many development countries and has a great portion in gross national product in them. Despite the industry developing can greatly affect on sustainable development of each region, unfortunately, it hasnt been considered in Iran yet. In this study, importance of geotourism in southern khorasan has been evaluated. So that, some geology and mining attractions of this province e.g. deserts, caves, mountains and mines have been introduced. At the end, considering variety and grace of these landscapes, a good planning to education, information and culture, provide welfare and transportation convenience and attention to safety can predispose for sustainable development of this province.
