Abstract :
Anticline of the north of Birjand is a flanking fold wich placed in Neogene and Quaternary deposits. A thrust fault with N270-280 trending has been seen in southern limb that is the main factor of this Anticline create. Birjand anticline has been torn by 12 tear faults and divided in to the pieces with variant displacement, the variance of shortening in length of this fold and thrust belt has caused the creating of the tear faults with an almost N-S trending. Through the calculating of the amount of each tear fault separation, the rate of the net slip in these faults has been estimated that created of the amount of maximum displacement of fold axis trace by of the main tear faults Fl with 452/01 and F12 with 628/76 meter. By Petit way, maximum strees direction is calculated N62 for sightly of the area.
