Abstract :
The ophiolitic complex of sabzevar is one of the most important ophiolitic zones in north – eastern Iran , because of the great extention and relatively less tectonization which makes it easier to interprete the genetical relationships of the different rock types of the ophiolitic suite . on the base of the potrogrophical investigations in sheet dykes complex , they contain mainly plagioclase , augite , epidote , chlorite , hornblende , quartz and subophitic , intergranular texturers can be observed . submarine volcanic rocks also contain plagioclase , augite , epidote , hornlband , chlorite , quartz . In spite of composition and structure similar , various textures also porphyry , aphric , glomeroporphyry , spherolite , intersertal and seriate in this rocks can be observed . Sheet dykes show metamorphic in the range of greenschist facies . This rocks probably related to the underlying gabbro and overelying lavas appear to have been fed by the dikes . flow laves in the area mainly alterd to spilite . It is now acknowledged that spilltes must form as a result of addition of Na during alteration of more normal basalt . In spite of geochemical evidences the best geodymanic environment that in rock unites introduce , its back arc basin
