Abstract :
Thorghabaeh gold deposit is located in a mountainous region, in west of Mashhad in Iran.
The exploration of this deposit was performed with expedition of geological Survey experts to this region for thirty two days in 1998. The initial results showed that separation of fine gold by gravity methods due to dissemination of fine gold particles, dont yield fair results.
It could be concluded from the results that the magnetic concentration methods (dry& wet) are not able to separate of fine gold.
The cyanidation experiments were performed for indicating time leaching and optimization the effective parameters (grinding, pH, and cyanide concentration); high recovery of gold (up to 90 percent) was obtained by cyanidation method.
