Abstract :
This study is concerned with the composition, properties and origin of the Neishabur turquoise mine N). The investigation was carrided out by using E, 36°29´ which is located in binalood zone (58° 22 XRD, XRF and microscopic tecniqiues. It was found that the host rock has composition of trachyt and thrachyandesite with eosen age. Mineralogical study has shown that the main components of the rocks are alkalen feldspars (mainly Orthoclas), Fe secondry oxids, alunite, pyrite and chalcocite. Origin of turquoise could attribute to the alteration of post eosen volcanic rock which resulted to Cu and Fe mineralization. Oxidation of this sulfides in oxidizing zone, can generate Cu-bearing acidic solution that dissolve phosphates. Turquoise mineral may be the reaction result of this solution and alunite mineral.
