Determination of seismocity and analysis of seismic risk from Tuzanlou_Daregaz soil dam

Abstract :
The Tuzanlou dam is suited in 250 Km. northern Mashhad and 6 Km. North of the Tuzaniou village which is located close to the Daregaz city. In order to construct the dam the seismic) of the study area was evaluated using the empirical equations , developed methods and gathering experimental data as a part of site investigation and geological study program Considering seismic hazard the required characteristics for designing the dam were proposed and finally using the published maps by the Iranian Nuclear agency (Ashjaei and mohajer 1368) and analytical risk assessment software (Mc Quar, 1976) the maximum horizontal acceleration for a e. year duration was obtained and seismic hazard was analyzed. That is a 3.45m3 acceleration was calculated for a e. year effective time life for the construction.
