What is micro_ tremor?

 

Seismic microzonation is the estimation of ground dynamic parameters (maximum acceleration, horizontal & vertical acceleration, acceleration response spectrum, velocity, etc) during the occurrence of possible earthquakes in different areas in Mashhad. Based on the local geological & present seismotectionics situations…..

The micro_tremor project is being went on with the arm of estimation & knowing the Mashhad s earthquake- related phenomena such as land failure , slip liquefaction, rock fall, subsidence & changes oft seismic intensity within earthquake etc.

The output microzonation analyses contains microzonation maps, dynamic parameters of the ground like horizontal, vertical & spectrum accelerations &soils predominant period. Using these maps we can avoid constructing building on the regions at high risk stabilize the structures & plan to get crisis management when earthquake occurs.
