Park museum

The museum park is an amusement – scientific complex at 8000 m² area (as an outdoor & indoor place) & a substructure at 600 m².

 

This complex includes various units/ department such as: geology,environmental research, mining & exploration, earthquake studies, rock shows, fossils & minerals, amphitheatre, computer room for geology fiends & geological park. Based on the latest visitation made by the Minster of industries & mining from the Geoscience Museum, We are quite hopeful to have the complex much more activated over the close future.

This is a project started since 1384/ 2005 & attained to 30 % of its physical progress. Yet the reports of micro tremor studies including the measurements of micro seismography for 300 points across Mashhad have been fulfilled, so the seismic zonation map for natural period of sediments & amplification factors extracted out of magnification functions, calculated for all the points, has been drawn. Moreover, the geological engineering report of the project has been prepared in which the properties of the alluvium lays under the surface of Mashhad is analyzed. Reports of seismicity – seismotectonics & seismic microzonation at Mashhad and it’s a suburb are prepared as well. The latter reports are consisted of the seismicity studies at Mashhad & the suburban area, arranged to immunize the most important structures of the city, against the risks of earthquake.

We hope that the newly started stage of the project would make a good progress up to the end of the year.
