Abstract :
Khoshyeilagh Formation is one of the fossiliferous unit of Eastern Aiborz which its age was mentioned variously from Emsian to Tournaisian Most of the debate is about the lowest and highest members of the formation The presence of Eognath!dus b!p.rniafiis in the conodont fauna of the Khoshyeilagh Formation Indicates a Middle Devonian age for the Member I of the formation.
The co-occurrance of polygnathus delicatus with athodus aculeatus aculeatus indicate a coateius Zone aga for the middle part of Member 6 of the formation. The presence of Oollymae boukearti in the upper part of tha Member 6 indicates dollymae boukearti Zone. An anchoralis, latus Zone refers to the top of the formation. This it based on the presence of Scaliognathus anchcraIis anchoralissubspecics.
