Abstract :
One of the most knportant problems which during the last few decades has caused problems for the environment and also for the health of people Is the mining IndustrIal and agricultural activities in Iran.
In this paper the role of geologists In determining the souros of health problems such as the path of trace elements and their entrance to ecosystems, the mobility and transportation of toxic organic or synthetic harmful materials which are produced by IndustrIal end agricultural activities and etc. are discussed, and on the other hand some ways to prevent these problems are explained.
ft should be noted that for the fIrst time In Iranian literature the subject of `medical geology is described in this paper.
