Abstract :
The Lar area is located in east Iran, which is situated 20 Km north of Zahedan city. In this study, the surface geology has been done and on the selected samples that has been taken from different parts of deposit also petrography and petrology studies and so many details geochemical investigation in the main part of prospect has been done. The main geological charactristics of the area is the existance of Cretaceous Ophiolitic belt and invast formation of flysh type sediments, in the other hand magmatism activities in form of volcanism and plutonism in Oligo-Miocen period is happened. On the basis of our new data, it is realized that mineralogical composite of the main instrusive rocks of the prospect is Syeno-Monzonite and petrologically all the main intrusive and extrusive rocks are alkaline with high potasium. In the part of the Lar prospect we have some Nw- SE faults in parallel to Zahedan major fault. Hydrothermal liquids are injected into spaces of these faults and also in the small fractures in different parts of mass intrusive in form of porphyry. The concentration of copper mineralization occur in the main NW-SE fault- zone. In view of economy our geochemical studies prove that we have good potential of gold and
molibdenum in Lar deposit. According to our study and comparison between the achieved data of Lar with different deposits, we can put this deposit in prophyry - veinlet alkaline type deposits model. In view of tectonomagmatism setting, it seems that Lar volcanoplotunism complex is intruded along of and extentional faults that are as a result of subduction between Lut and Sistan plates.
