Abstract :
Geophysic is one of the most applicable tools In mineral explorations, but little attention has been paid to it,s applications in Iran.
There are many cases where exploratory bore holes were drilled without considering any prior geophysical studies to obtain more information about the subsurface geology, and therefore the explorations cost much more.
In this paper it has been tried to classify different ore bodies and th. applications of different geophysical methods employed in exploring the metallic and nonmetallic minerals.
To give a good example a case history is presented to explain the importanc, of geophysics applied In
one of the most active mines in the country. In this paper the methods and arrays applied as well as field procedures are explained,and based on the results the most suitabl, locations for drilling are r.commended.
