Abstract :
The application of the geophysical methods are mainly based on the measurements of the physica properties of the rocks, which are applied to solve the ambiguities in engineering Geology.
The prupose of the applied geoghysics is to aid and guide Geologist for the mineral exploration anc geotechnical works. The present paper indicating the methods and their application to obtain informatione on thc following respects in geotechnical works, such as determining the thickness of overburden, the lithology of the alluvium, bed rocks, tracing the faults and contacts, evaluation of the rate of soil corrosions, calculationg tht dynamic and elasticity modulus of the rocks and others at the power plant sites, as well as obtaining the informations needed along the tunnel headrace, dams, land slides, and others.
