Abstract :
The Kolah- Ghazi intrusive body is located about 50 Km south and south east of Esfahan within the Sannandaj- Sirjan structural zone. This granitoid body composed mainly of granodiorite, monzogranite and syenogranite. Geochemical and petrologica) diagrams show the consanguinity between different rocks of this intrusive body, calc-alkaline type of magma, and peraluminous nature of these rocks.
Important characteristics such as coarse aluminosilicate minerals (andalusite, sillimanite and Kyanite), peraluminous nature of body, surmicaceous enclaves and existence of more than 1% normative corundum suggests the S-Type origin of this intrusive body.
Geochemical diagrams and regional evidences support the (POG) tectonitc environment of these rocks. Contact metamorphism effect of this body with Upper- Jurassic shales and sandstones results in the formation of spotted schists with spots of biotite.
On the basis of the petrographical, stratigraphical and field evidences, the emplacement age of this
body is upper- Jurassic.
