Abstract :
Intrusive masses of Kaffee Abad and Ader-Bolandan are situated in the southwest Yazd, and are 22 km. away from each other.
These granitoid bodies seem to be at least younger than the surrounding metamorphosed rocks, particularly the Lower Cretaceous Orbitolina bearing limestones, and are probably related to the Oligo-Miocene ages?. The major portion of the igneous bodies are occupied by granodiorite, granite, and to a lesser amount by tonalite, quartz-syenite and syenite.
On the basis of geochemical data, the amount of Sb2 Na2 O,K20 and CaO contents of the intrusive bodies are variable in different localities. In addition, plotting the data on to spider diagrams indicates Ba, K, Rb enrichment, as opposed to Nb, Sr, Ti depletion. Genetically, the granitic intrusives of Kaffee Abad and Ader-Bolandan are geochemically of the I-type granite. From economical potential point of view, mineralization of marbel, skarn, Fe, Cu, Pb, Zn and non-metallic minerals such as Kaolinite are considerable. Geothermobarometry of the minerals of magmatic rocks, and the metamorphic haloes of these masses indicates thermal conditions of about 600-650 c and a pressure of 1.5-2 kbars for the metamorphism, 850-900 c for the intrusive rocks and 950-1050 c for the extrusive rocks.
