Abstract :
Relative abundance and short statigraphical rang of calcareow nannofossils has caused these fossils to be the most suitable group for ,biostratigraphical subdivision of Mesozoic and Cenozoic beds Planktonic feature and as the result their geographical wide distributior .are effective in the interregional correlation
By attention to the stratigraphical value of calcareous nannoplanktons for age determination of sedimentary beds, last Chalky Limestone of Abderaz formation and lower part of Abtalkh formation in 20 Km of Klat was studied.
Lithologically the Abtalkh formation contains grey to bluish many limy shales and grey mans.
The number of 40 samples were studied by Polarized microscope and photographed by digital camera. According to the studied the 45 Genera ,and 83 Species were identifiedAs a result of biostratigraphic studied Five biozon erected ,witch equivalent with CC17-CC21 of Sissingh (1977). In the base of zone, the age of studied section late Santonian/Early Campanian-Early late Campanian.
On the base of the Paleoecological interpretations the Abtalkh Formatior was deposited in the relatively shallow marine environmeni Nannofossils of Abtalkh was compared with these of Gregory member of pierer shale in south Dakuta. The similarity of Flora in to area ,indicated an unrestricted comminuted between two basins.
The variability of species abundances between the location is most likely . elated to Paleolatitude.
