Abstract :
Abderaz and Abtalkh Formations, to age Turonian until Maastrichtian, are litostratigraphy of Kopeh-Dagh , for many reasons , especially, lithology and biology contents are the best on that, we can compare them with Inoceramus limestone and Echinid marls in the Central Iran.
The similarities cause that unites in the Mozduran Section (Kopeh-Dagh) and Baharestan Section (Esfahan) by studying 67 sample of lithology and 60 sample of washing samples of these two section have found many similareous lithology and biology contents.
The simillareous of the environments and the alluvial base kind of this unites, would power this possibilhty that Turonian sea to Maastrichtian sea of the Kopeh-Dagh has expanded until the Central Iran . This ascertainment would show the close relation between the aim Kopeh-Dagh and Central Iran in the time that saved.
According to foraminifera content of the Abderaz and Abtalkh Formations 12 biozones were determined in the Mozduran Section (Kopeh-Dagh) that show an age Early Turonian - Early Campanian for Abderaz Formation and age Early Campanian-Late Maastrichtian for Abtalkh Formation.
Study of Late Cretaceous foraminifera of the Inoceramus limestone and Echinid marls in the Central Iran, show an age Early Turonian-Early Coniacian?? for?? Inoceramus?? limestone?? and?? age?? Early?? Campanian-Late Campanian for Echinid marls.7 biozones were determined in the Baharestan Section (Esfahan) which are equivalent to caron,? 1985 global standard
biozones.
