Study and comparison from lower cteraceous deposit of two sedimentary basin from Kopet-Dagh and Central Iran

Abstract :

Tirgan and Sarchshmeh Formations, to age Barremian until Albian, are litostratigraphy of Kopeh Dagh, for many reasons, especially, lithology and biology contents are the best on that, we can compare them with Orbitolina limestone and Albian shale in the Central Iran, The similarities cause that unites in the Mozdooran Section (Kopeh Dagh) and Baharestan Section (Esfehan) by studying 71 sample of lithology and 57 sample of washing of these two section have found many similareous lithology and biology.
The simillareous of the environments and the alluvial base kind of this unites would power this possibilhty that Barremian sea to Albian sea of the Kopeh Dagh is expanded until the Central Iran. This ascertainment would show the close relation between the aim Kopeh Dagh and Central Iran in the time that sayed.
