Abstract :

The studied area is apart of Paleozoic rocks wich is weII developed in south of kashmar( kuh e-faghan).It is located- .approximately 13 km. from the kashmar city.
The Devonian rocks in this area is consist of three litostratigraphic units: Padeha, Sibzar and Bahram formation Moor than 700 speciments of macro fossils(brachiopods coral s) collected for the paleontological study and20 samples for the preparing of thine sections and .micro facies study This section includes two formations:Sibzar dolomite(104 m) and Bahram formation (200 m) Totally 15genus of brachiopods(2 subspecies & 17 specie) 3 genus of corals and an algae micro fossils(Trochiliscus sp) Introduced.
All of species that described , aYe - reported for the firsl time from the kashmar area and three species(Theodossia arcuum, cyrtiopsis bironensis & Eleut hero komma hamiltoni as so from Iran.
The fossiliferous fauna of Bahram formation are divided in ,two parts:part 1,that is 70 m thickness and overlie Sibza Formation. The Following fossils is recorded from this part:
spinatrypina sp.,Athyri s sp.Emanuella sp.,Disphyllum sp.and Trochiliscus sp.,based on above mention-Faunu,uppei suggested for thi5 - Givetian to lower Frasnian age that correlated with sub formatin Bahram 1 in ozbak-kuh area.
The thickness of part 2is 130 meteres and consist of the folio wing fossils: Cyrtospirifer verneuili, C. chinensis, C. cf schelonicus, C cf. brodi, C.pamiricus, Tenticospirifer tenticulum - Eleutherokomma hamiltion Cyrtiopsis muitipicata, C. bironensis, Theodossia arcuum, pla tyspirifer - sp.,spinatrypina chitralensis, spinatrypina Cf.bodini, cleiothyridina sp.,Hypothyridina cuboides, cyphoterothynchus kora ghensis, C. Koraghensis ,koraghensis interpositus, C. a rpaensis, DouvIllina interstrialis Atrypa reticularis.Based on above fossils, frasnian.

(middle-Probably upper)age is suggested for this part which is correlated with Bahram 2 in ozbak-kuh area. The tota index species identified, such as the species are related ta genus cyphoterorhynehus, at the same time have beeii recorded from the Alborze,East and central Iran,N..W.pakistan .Afganistan, Armenia W.Australia, china and Germany Micro-facies study of the thine sections, indicated shell carbonate environment(La goon-Fore reef)for studied sequence.
