Abstract :
Upper Cretaceous strata of kopet-Dogh Range contain diver.
(20 Km to Kalat) the studied area is in the Mashhad - Kalat road. Abtalkh Formation been reported to vary From 510-813 thick and is 805m thick in studied section .
stratigraphy studies only the 333m of the upper part of the Ahtalkh Formation was investigaited and comprised with light grey limy shales
ompriscd stigatcd and mv nd prepar and thin marl beds. A total of 38 samples were taken and prepared.
Then varius species have been recognised based on optical properties of calcite mineral by using polirizan microscopic and gypsum plat
In this study, 17 families, 41 genus and 82 species were identified
Based on the first of last occurrences of the marker taxa. The following

According to the Paleoecological interpretations, upper part of Abtalkh Formation was deposited in a shallow marine basin.
The similarity between the nannofossil assamblages from upper of Abtalkh Formation and Gregory member suggests that the depth of Abtalkh basii
must have been deep enough for unrestricted cominucation between the two sites.
The variability of species abundances between the locations is most likly ,related to paleolatitude.
