Abstract :
Relative abundance and short stratigraphical range of calcareous nannofossils has caused these fossils to be most suitable group for biostratigraphical subdivision of' Mesozoic and Cenozoic beds
Planktonic feature and as the result their geographical wide distribution are effective in the interregional correlation
By attention to the stratigraphical value of calcareous nannoplanktons for age determination of sedimentary beds, Neyzar formation in 76 Km of Mashhad (Mashhad-Kaiat Road) was studied
Lithologically the Neyzar fbrmation contains gray shals and Sandstones .and calcareous sandstones
The number of 45 samples were studied by polarized microscope and photographed by digital camera. According to the studied the 10 familie5 .and 20 Genera and 39 speices were identified
As a result of biostratigraphic studied two biozon erected, witch -equivalent with CC25-CC26 of sissingh ) 1977 ), and according with perch Nielsen (1985), subzones CC25c-CC26a-CC26b is suggested
In the bese of zone, the age of studied section upper Masstrichtian-upper .most Masstrichtian
On the base of paleocological interpretations the Neyzar formation was deposited in the shallow marine environment and low latitude.
