Abstract :
Chamnbid Formation from the age of upper Bajocian-lower Oxfordian in Kopet Dagh area is of great importance of probably because it is the origin of Khangiran gas. In this reserch to identify microfacies and to explain sedimentary environment, and to investigate lithostratigraphy, and to determine the age of this Formation in the east of Kopet Dagh, we studie two sections in the North eastern of Mashhad and compared it with the type sections for this reason 150 thin sections. and lithostratigraphical column frorr the studied regions were provided , and Chamanbid Formation was dividec into three members and eleven Microfacies from the open marine, barriei islands and Lagoon that were identified. Since the greater part of the facie belongs to the open marine in cluding basin, continental shelf and fore slope .plateform, so sedimentary environment of this formation is an epicontinental marine which its shallower parts are Barrier islands and Lagoonal flat.
In this research by microfossils found, Chamanbid Formation age in the
mentioned regions was determined as Callovian- Lower Oxfordian and also it ,paleo geographical map was desined in the east Kopet Dagh area
For studing Chamanbid Formation we corrected the Mashhad geologica ossils and ا ,map in 1/250000 in Joghr ( section and by investigation on it facies ) tures, we found out that upper part of Chamanbid Formation ا sedirmentary in this section is related to Mozduran and Shurijeh Formations, and also lithostratigraphical column of the above mentioned formations was provided.
