Abstract :
A collection of rich plants fossils containing toarcian - Aaleniar Lias - Dagger) Flora collected on a road cuffing in east to( ,Shandiz, northwest of Mashhad, Iran
For the first time, these flora were studied from the viewpoint of the taxonomy.
In this study, 58 species of 17 genera that belong to 10 order5 were recognized.
The study section mainly containes siltstone, sandstone and conglomerat that were deposited in lagoonal environment of Liassic basin.
Both flora and their terigenus sediments are equivalent with upper sandstone" in type section of Shemshak Formation
In general these flora are comparable with northern hemispherc flora, Gandwana and Jurassic flora in York Shire of England Paleogeography of this area is influanced by orogenic bell highlands of Hercynian and early Kimmerian
The present study also revealed that "Aghonj Conglomerate" in geological map of Mashhad (scale 1:100000) are older than dogger.
