Abstract :
The region of this study is located in 20 km south-west of Mashhad. It is between Binalood Mountain and Hezar Masjed Mountain which is extended along North-West South- east.
The rocks of this area contain 2 major units of volcanic rocks and metamorphic rocks. Metamorphic rocks are phyllite, types of schists, amphibolite, marble, quartzite, and serpentinite which have been appeared through metamorphosis of Shale, Siltstone and greywackes. Due to metamorphism, Interlayer of Carbonate rocks, mafic and ultramafic can be also seen in interior Pelite rocks.
Metamorphic minerals created in two regional metamorphic stages, and one thermal metamorphic stage.
Chlorite, sericite, muscovite, biotite, chloritoide, garnet, and staurolite can be observed in pelite rocks. The investigations of the texture identify that chlorite, muscovite and biotite crystallize Syn-S1 and staurolite, garnet and chloritoide crystallize Post-S1. Concerning these minerals, metamorphic zones contain biotite zone, garnet and staurolite zone. Regarding the above-mentioned facts, metamorphism has been occurred to the extent of farcies green schist and amphibolite.
To estimate the heat of the zone by therrnometry of stable mineral, thermodynamics equation and minerals point analysis results have been utilized.
According to the calculations, the rocks of the Staurolite zone have been metamorphosed in maximum 618 °C.
Geological map, mining map, tectonics map and zonation of metamorphic map of studied area was prepared by combining remote sensing data, tectonics and mineralogy.
