Abstract :

Taknar polymetal deposit is located within Taknar zone. Taknar zone is wedge shape block situated between two faults, Darouneh to the south and Rivash to t he north Massive sulfide type mineralization has been outcropped in different places withir Taknar area. This thesis concentrated only on Tak-Ill and T ak-IV deposits. Taknar Formation (Ordovician age) in Tak III contains Sericite Schist, quartz Sericitc Schist Chlorite Schist, Meta Diorite, Meta Diabase and Volcanic rocks such as Dacitc Rhyodacit and Rhyolite. The protolite of Schists were quartz rich pelitic rocks which under gone low grade regional metamorphism. The intrusive rocks are divided based on the regional metamorphism into Paleozoic and the younger
Middle to late Paleozoic intrusions are: Meta Monzodiorite, meta Monzonite, Meta Granite, Meta Granodiorite. The younger intrusive are: Homblende Diorite, quartz Monzonite Porphyry, granite porphyry and Granodiorite Porphyry
Mineralization at Tak-III is observed in three style. 1) D isseminated mineralization which is found only within especial part of Taknar Formation. 2) Stockworl mineralization, that contains veinlets as wide as 1-6 mm. The density of veinlets arc ، varied between 2 to 30 veinlet in a m2 .3) Layered Oxide-Sulphide mineralization that only has been seen in drill holes. The massive sulfide mineralization depositc during 0 rdovician time w ithin c ertain section of Taknar Formation. Within Tak-III only stringer zone of massive sulfide is present. Due to strong faulting, other parts of the massive sulfide are being moved to the north. Main minerals are pyritc chalcopyrite, minor sphalerite and galena. Magnetite is found in certain locality Hydrothermal alteration has effected the rocks in different time. 1) Alteration relatcc to massive sulphide mineralization. Based on mineral assemblage (Chlorite + Epidot the solution was rich in Mg, Fe, Si, C02, and the pH was in the range of neutral to basic. 2) Alteration related to Paleozoic intrusive, the pH of the solution was neutra to acid. 3) Alteration related to intrusion after Paleozoic like Monzonite Porphyry and Biotite Granodiorite porphyry, the pH of the solution was in the range of acidic to .neutral
،% 2.5 Based on rock geochemical analysis the amount of Cu varies between 0.9 to Zn 40-145 ppm, Bi 20-900 ppm, Mo 19-60 ppm, Ag 2-30 ppm, Au< 40ppb. In general the amount of Pb, Zn, Ag in many samples are very low. By comparing rock type, alteration, style of mineralization, and geochemistry, Tak-Ill is a stringer part of massive sulfide deposit.
