Abstract :
The kashmar quadrangle is an including Lut Block, Taknar zone, Sabzevar zone and Binalud zone tectonic units. Taknar inlier (Taknar zone) displays a narrow uplift of Precambrian and Paleozoic rocks and there are sediments of Tertiary with ophiolites and flysch- type deposits in an extensive area of -Sabzevar zone. In this paper metalic and nonmetallic ore potentials are in¬vestigated.
Potential of "Cu" in tuff radiolarite series of Sabzevar zone is investi¬gated with description of abandoned mines. In this zone, porphyry andesites ~ have accommodated Zangalu, Cheshmeh Gaz and Dahaneh Siah abandoned mines.
In Taknar zone, in addition to investigation of Taknar mine, potential of north regions of Enamzadeh Seyed mortaza and south of Makki- Tanurjeh are men¬tioned. In Seyed mortaza region wide accumulation of Fe- oxides in surface is indicant of probable "Cu" deposit.
The most important recognized Fe- potential is iron deposit of Allah-abad region (Dhe- Zaman), main ore of iron is Hematite with amounts of Magnetite and Limonite, This deposit has had chronological and Local relation with
submarine volcanism.
potential of "sb", " As" and "Au" in Chalpu, Kalateh-Chubak region has been studied. Mainly, mineralization of "sb" (stibnite) in slope of chalpu mountain and "As" (Orpiment-Reagan) in north of Chubak is observable -Initial witnesses narrate from "Au" index in this region.
There is "Hg" ore in placer form in alluvial sediments of southwest of Kashmar. Analysis of one sample indicates a grade about 12PPT. Volcano sediment rocks serie of Sabzevar zone forms the Mn potential of this area. Bandeh-Quro and north of Kalateh- Beydak regions have preference.
Kaolinite in eastern region of Taknar inlier (Specially in eastern regions of Kuhsorkh defile) has high potential. Mnes and occurrence of Kao¬linite in Makki , Ghuchpalang, Mushak and Kuhsorkh defile regions are studied, Bentonite of khushab has produced from effect of alteration of tuff (with a suitable quality) in an extensive area.
Ophiolites adjacent Taknar fault have potential for Asbestus and Talc -whereat traces in south of Quson village have studied.
Coal traces are observable in northwest of Quracheh village in a fault -zone, also relationship of these traces with bedst of Jurassic between Dahan- Qaleh and Duroneh has been investigated.
